[Release commemoration set] Arita ware white porcelain nested tea set/Nishijin weave storage bag [20% off]

This is a nested tea set of white porcelain, produced in collaboration with the pottery manufacturer Tasei Kiln in Arita, a traditional porcelain production area with a long history. The handleless teapot, called a shibori-dashi, holds two sencha tea bowls in a compact design that is easy to carry.

It is packed with the attention to detail that only a store brand that has specialized in tea for many years can offer, such as a weight and shape that makes it easy to brew, a volume that can be used on an everyday basis, and a comfortable pouring experience.

The surface is unglazed and matte finished, a process called 'karayaki'. The small, tapered foot (the base of the vessel) is a distinctive feature of the simple, clean shape and texture.

The high rim allows you to hold the body even when brewing with hot water, so you can brew a variety of leaf teas, including sencha, black tea, and oolong tea. (It is not suitable for teas with fine leaves.)

The outer fabric of the storage bag is made of shiny gold brocade fabric from Nishijin-ori in Kyoto. The fabric has a diamond pattern woven into it, giving it a solid, three-dimensional look.

The pompoms on the ends of the strings, made of wool fringe, are an accent. A padded cushion is placed between the outer and inner fabrics. When storing or carrying the teapot, please wrap the lid in the included navy blue golden cloth.

Also, for this release only, we will include a tea canister that fits perfectly into the sencha bowl. It can hold about 15g to 20g of sencha, so you can carry your favorite tea with you.
