This kamairi-cha greentea tea is made from tea leaves produced in Tsushima, located in Nagasaki Prefecture in the north of Kyushu. The tea leaves are made from old native tea trees planted in the cedar forests on the slopes of Tsushima, where 90% of the island is forested and the terrain is mountainous.

This tea has an aroma reminiscent of grass and trees, a natural and strong flavor unique to mountain tea, and a pleasant aftertaste.

In Tsushima, sun-dried tea has been consumed since ancient times, and kama-iri tea has been produced since the pan-frying method was introduced. This tea is made by the Aoyagi-style kamairi method, a method that has been handed down from generation to generation, and is carefully finished by hand using an iron tilting pan.

The tea is handpicked on steep slopes where machines are not allowed, making it rare and scarce. Try the powerful flavor unique to mountain tea with its deep roots in nature.
