This oolong tea is made using Koshun tea leaf grown in the mountains at an altitude of 600m, further inland from Kurogi-cho, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the birthplace of Yame tea . It has a floral aroma reminiscent of gardenia and a refreshing fragrance, little bitterness and a good balance of umami and a subtle roasted aroma, with a fresh flavor.

From the second brew, when the tea leaves have opened up, the flavor becomes more robust and refreshing, so you can enjoy it for about three brews. You can also increase the amount of tea leaves to about 4g to enjoy a more mellow flavor.

Koshun is a type of sencha tea leaf with a distinctive aroma, but you can enjoy the gorgeous aroma of semi-fermented tea that you can't get with sencha. Last year's batch won the Platinum Award in the Oolong Tea category at the Japanese Tea Awards , so it's a tea that I highly recommend.

No pesticides, organically grown

Recommended brewing method (for one person)

For 3g of tea leaves, use 150ml of boiling water and brew for 1 minute, 45 to 60 seconds for the second brew, and 60 seconds or more for the third brew.
