This first flush black tea is made using Sayamakaori tea leaf grown in the mountains at an altitude of 600m, located deep inside Kurogi-cho, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the birthplace of Yame tea . The aroma has a hint of woody freshness with apricot and mandarin orange impressions. The flavor is not bitter or astringent, but rather light-bodied with a mandarin orange-like sweetness, somewhat reminiscent of oriental black tea. The second brew adds a refreshing flavor, allowing you to enjoy the change in flavor.
If you increase the amount of tea leaves to about 4g, you can enjoy a more mellow flavor without the bitterness or astringency. We recommend drinking it black. Last year's batch won four stars at the Japan Tea Festival, so this is a Japanese black tea that we highly recommend.
