This bronze-glazed medium plate is by Kyoto-based ceramic artist Asami Maeda. The deep metallic luster of the bronze glaze is impressive, and the work is decorated with a pattern created by the Itchin technique. The floral arabesque design, which is typical of the Kyoto artist, is painted on the plate, and its Japanese-inspired expression, which retains the flavor of the hand, is very appealing. The matching cups are also available and can be used in combination.
