This bronze glazed cup and saucer is by Asami Maeda, a ceramic artist based in Kyoto, Japan. The deep metallic shine of the bronze glaze is impressive, and the work is decorated with an elongated pattern created by the Ichiin technique of drawing. The Kyoto artist's floral cloisonne design is painted on the surface, and the expression that retains the flavor of the hand and gives a sense of harmony is appealing. The bronze glaze is a color that would go well with coffee.

It is slightly large in size at 210ml, so it can be used as a mug in daily life. A matching bronze glazed medium plate is also available.
