This black tea is made from hand-picked Benifuuki tea from Tsushima, an island in Nagasaki Prefecture, north of Kyushu. The tea leaves are carefully hand-picked, focusing on the tea buds, and then finished almost entirely by hand. The tea leaves before brewing have a citrus scent, and after brewing they have a sweet floral scent reminiscent of gardenia and geranium. There is little bitterness or astringency, and you can enjoy the soft, expansive flavor and lingering aftertaste that only hand-picked tea can offer.

About the tea farm: Producer Tsushima Oishi Farm produces tea in the Sago region of Tsushima, an island in Nagasaki Prefecture between Kyushu and Korea. Starting out by planting tea trees on Tsushima, a mountainous island where 90% of the land area is forested, the farm is now particularly renowned for its black tea, and has even won awards in national contests. Located at the foot of Mount Mitake in Tsushima, which has long been a place of mountain worship, the farm is committed to producing organic tea with a focus on nature.
